GL Smith Consulting is a non-profit and human resource services consulting firm owned by Gregory and Lindsay Smith.

Greg is a human resources leader with over 16 years of successful outcomes in designing and implementing employment processes strategically aligned with organizational objectives. Greg’s work prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion as fundamental principles of effective business. Greg specializes in employment data analysis, strategic planning, change leadership, and communications. Greg’s professional leadership experience includes directing EEO and affirmative action compliance activities at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and his current role serving as a Chief Human Resources Officer in the California Community College system, where he is deeply involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion change initiatives.

Lindsay has over a decade of nonprofit experience in the fields of youth, housing, homelessness, public health, domestic violence, volunteer management, and women's health. She began her career in San Francisco, CA working with clients experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, and economic instability. After San Francisco, she moved to Portland and began her work in public health and youth development. Her focus was on prevention programs to help youth be mentally and physically healthy while staying in school.

Throughout her work in Oregon, she oversaw youth projects totaling over $3.5 million. Lindsay's work and advocacy helped inform legislation that provided protections for youth and their healthcare. She also served as the nonprofit representative to the Washington County Public Health Advisory Council and as a board member to Family Promise of Washington County.

After graduate school, Lindsay became the Executive Director of Girls Inc. of the Northern Sacramento Valley. During her time she helped diversify funding streams to ensure long-term financial stability. She also expanded access to programs that helped young womxn develop new skills and expand their knowledge.

Most recently, Lindsay served as the Director of Community and Volunteer Engagement for a San Diego based nonprofit.

Lindsay and Greg are both graduates of the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy and hold Masters in Public Administration. They reside in San Diego, CA with their daughter and two pups.
